Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is the most effective way to deliver oxygen throughout the body resulting in profound impacts on health optimization and disease treatment. Every cell in the body requires oxygen to live so when oxygen delivery is impaired, disease is imminent. Conversely, when oxygen is present, cells thrive. HBOT involves breathing concentrated oxygen while lying in a pressurized chamber (1.3–2.0 ATA) resulting in a 1,200% increase in blood oxygen levels. HBOT sessions last 30–60 minutes and are tolerated very well by most people.

Conditions that benefit:
-
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can be a valuable tool both before and after surgery. Prior to a procedure, HBOT helps optimize the body's tissue oxygenation, strengthens the immune system, and creates a healthier cellular environment that can improve surgical outcomes and reduce the risk of complications. Following surgery, HBOT accelerates the healing process by delivering high concentrations of oxygen to damaged tissues, reducing inflammation and swelling, and promoting the formation of new blood vessels. This enhanced oxygen delivery supports faster wound healing, lowers the risk of infection, and can significantly shorten overall recovery time.
-
HBOT may benefit neurological and autoimmune conditions by boosting tissue oxygenation, reducing inflammation, and supporting repair and immune regulation. Evidence suggests potential benefit for stroke, TBI, MS, cerebral palsy, autism, chronic fatigue, and rheumatoid arthritis. Always consult a physician before starting.
-
HBOT reduces inflammation by delivering high-pressure oxygen that lowers tissue hypoxia, suppresses inflammatory cytokines, boosts antioxidant defenses, and improves microcirculation — together accelerating the body's natural resolution of inflammation.
-
HBOT supports detoxification by flooding the body with high-pressure oxygen that neutralizes free radicals, enhances liver and kidney function, stimulates lymphatic drainage, and improves circulation to oxygen-deprived tissues. For chemotherapy patients, it helps reoxygenate damaged tissue and speed cellular repair between treatment cycles. For those recovering from addiction, it aids in clearing residual toxins from the brain and organs while supporting neurological repair and neurotransmitter balance.
-
HBOT is gaining traction in longevity and regenerative medicine for its ability to target the root mechanisms of aging. Notably, studies show it can reverse telomere shortening — effectively turning back the biological clock at the genetic level. It also stimulates stem cell release from bone marrow, reduces chronic inflammation ("inflammaging"), and enhances mitochondrial function, giving cells the energy to repair and resist oxidative stress. The result is improved cognitive function, cardiovascular health, skin elasticity, and a more resilient, youthful physiology.
-
HBOT accelerates healing by saturating damaged, oxygen-deprived tissues with high-pressure oxygen, stimulating collagen production, new blood vessel growth, and essential growth factors. For chronic wounds like diabetic ulcers, it restores the oxygen supply needed for tissue regeneration. Against infection, the oxygen-rich environment is directly toxic to anaerobic bacteria while boosting white blood cell activity. For bone injuries, it stimulates new bone formation and improves vascular supply to damaged tissue — making it a powerful tool for some of medicine's most difficult healing challenges.
-
HBOT is becoming a go-to recovery tool among elite athletes by flooding muscle tissue with high-pressure oxygen that clears lactic acid, reduces inflammation, and accelerates tissue repair — allowing faster return to training and lower injury risk. Beyond recovery, it improves mitochondrial efficiency for greater endurance, strength, and mental clarity, while stimulating stem cell and growth factor release to support long-term joint and muscle health. It's quickly earning its place as one of the most effective tools in modern athletic recovery.
What to expect during your first session
During your first experience with Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy at BPi, we will guide you through the process to ensure your comfort and safety. One of the most notable aspects of the experience is the sensation of pressure in the ears. As the chamber pressurizes, your ears will feel the need to pop similar to what occurs during an airplane’s ascent or descent. HBOT is a pain free and relaxing experience, pressure and temperature are adjustable during your dive. You have a call button to ring your Recovery Specialist for any questions or concerns during the dive. Phones, books and computers can be brought inside the chamber as well.
Your recovery specialist will be with you each step of the way, by the end of your first session, you will feel well-informed and rejuvenated. Try your first dive today for only $69.

Standard air carries only about 21% oxygen, but inside a hardshell hyperbaric chamber, patients breathe near-pure oxygen through a nasal cannula at close to 100% concentration. This dramatic increase allows the respiratory system to absorb oxygen at levels far beyond what is possible under normal conditions, rapidly elevating oxygen saturation throughout the entire body and setting the foundation for accelerated healing and recovery.
The hardshell chamber operates at air pressure significantly greater than what we experience at sea level, and this elevated pressure is what makes hyperbaric therapy truly unique. Under these conditions, oxygen dissolves directly into the blood plasma rather than relying solely on red blood cells for transport, allowing it to penetrate deeper into tissues, organs, and areas of the body with compromised circulation. This process also triggers the growth of new blood vessels, ensuring that oxygen-starved and injured areas of the body receive the supply they need to begin healing.
With oxygen-saturated blood now reaching even the most damaged and oxygen-deprived tissues in the body, the conditions for powerful and accelerated healing are fully in place. Inflammation and swelling are reduced, immune function is strengthened, and white blood cells become significantly more effective at fighting infection and clearing damaged cells. At the same time, the body ramps up the production of new blood vessels, collagen, and skin cells, creating an internal environment where repair happens faster, more completely, and more efficiently than the body could achieve on its own.
