Careers at BPi North Idaho Physical Therapy

Rooted in North Idaho. Growing for What Comes Next.

North Idaho Physical Therapy was founded in Coeur d’Alene in 1968. Since then, the organization has expanded to nine regional locations while adding health optimization, nutrition, training, recovery, and human-performance services alongside physical therapy.

BioPerformance Institute is the umbrella brand behind everything we do. BPi connects the trusted foundation of North Idaho Physical Therapy with a broader vision for helping people improve their health, movement, strength, recovery, and performance.

Joining BPi means becoming part of an organization that values its history without being limited by it. We are continuing to grow our locations, expand our expertise, and create new ways for people to take an active role in their health.

Physical therapy remains central to BPi, but our purpose extends beyond traditional injury rehabilitation.

Our team helps people move without pain, eat smarter, build strength, recover effectively, return to the activities they love, and pursue higher levels of physical performance.

The people we serve may be recovering from surgery, managing a health concern, returning to an active lifestyle, or chasing peak performance. Every BPi team member helps them find the education, service, specialist, and location that moves them closer to their goals.

She saw it once and it stuck: "You've made it if you enjoy getting up and going to work every day AND going home from work every day." For this physical therapist and busy mom of two, that's not just a quote anymore — it's her reality.

"I enjoy seeing all of my patients each day, and when I leave, I'm able to clock out and not think about it, not worry about it, and show up fully for my kids."

Supported from day one

"I have felt fully supported since the day I started working here. I've grown a lot as a provider, and I enjoy coming to work every day. I would choose it again in a heartbeat."

Autonomy to practice your way

"All the providers would agree that we have this autonomy and empowerment here. We're encouraged to support our patients the way we feel is best."

No guilt trips about leaving on time. No side-eyes when kids get sick. Just genuine understanding that being a great clinician and a great parent are complementary priorities — not competing ones.

BPi Staff testimonials

Jason was moving to North Idaho during an ice storm — 26-foot trailer, two little kids, his wife. He called Justin Kane, the owner, just to check in about starting work. What happened next still moves him years later.

When your new boss shows up with work gloves

"He showed up for two full evenings in a row, just him, to help me unload. It's just the kind of guy he is. He'll do anything for you."

When your competitor tells you to take the other job

Jason interviewed at two places. The first offered him a job on the spot. He was planning to take it — until his other interviewer said something unexpected.

"They asked who else I was interviewing with. When I said North Idaho Physical Therapy, the interviewer put his hand on my shoulder and said, 'I wouldn't blame you if you took that job.'"

"For Justin to have that kind of reputation in the community — where someone who really needs a PT says that — that speaks volumes."

Jason had two offers. He chose the ice storm guy. Five years later, he says it's the best decision he ever made.

When physical therapists ask Connor what he'd tell someone thinking about joining BPi, he doesn't hesitate. Having worked at other clinics, he brings real perspective — and real certainty: "Do it. Do it yesterday."

Real work-life balance

"You have the ability to still see patients and do what you love, but it's really appreciated and respected that we all have stuff outside of just work." This value flows from leadership throughout the entire organization.

Freedom to practice your way

When Connor moved to Liberty Lake, leadership's message was clear: "I want this to be your baby, your thing." That autonomy — to shape your practice and serve patients on your own clinical judgment — is what sets BPi apart.

A culture of growing together

"Knowing where I've been and seeing what we have here — yeah, it's a no-brainer."

Connor's verdict: you get put in positions to help build up those around you, with leadership opportunities that let you lift others while growing yourself.
